Watch Operation & Maintenance Guide
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU READ THE INSTRUCTIONS & INFORMATION ON HOW TO OPERATE AND TAKE CARE OF YOUR WATCH BEFORE YOU HANDLE THEM. IT WILL DEFINITELY LET YOU ENJOY A BETTER EXPERIENCE WITH YOUR WATCH.
Please note that although certain watches are water-resistant to a certain degree, Luxury Factory suggests that you try to keep it away from water whenever possible and always make sure that the watch crown is screwed in tight to avoid water or moisture entering it.
DO NOT wear your watch when swimming or showering. We at Luxury Factory cannot guarantee the watch if your accidental usage results in water or moisture getting into the watch.
**PLEASE NOTE LUXURY FACTORY DO NOT COVER ANY WATER DAMAGE EVEN THOUGH YOUR WATCH MIGHT BE WATERPROOFED FROM FACTORY. KEEP YOUR WATCH AWAY FROM WATER AT ALL COSTS!
Technical Information about Water Resistance:
• Depth of resistance is measured in “ATM” or “bar-tested”. Each ATM denotes 10 metres of static water pressure.
• **Please note that all replica watches fits only the description of being able to accept light moisture ONLY – IT IS NEVER SUITABLE FOR SUBMERSION, SWIMMING, SHOWER, SAUNA OR HOT-TUB.
• **UNLESS INDICATED, never submerge the watch. ALL CHRONOGRAPH watches even when waterproofed CANNOT BE USED UNDERWATER because pushers construction will seep in moisture when depressed – This is 100% TRUE with GENUINE watches as well!
I. INITIAL SETUP & STARTUP
Q1. WHAT IS THE FIRST THING I NEED TO DO?
A1. Upon receiving, please wind it. Turn the crown for about 15 – 20 full turns clockwise. If it has a screw-tight crown, release it by turning anti-clockwise until loose first. Manual winding will make your watch start to tick.
Q2. MY WATCH IS AUTOMATIC, WHY DOES IT STOP?
A2. Automatic watches gain energy from kinetic movement. When not worn, it will stop. Wind it for 10 – 12 rounds clockwise to start again. Pull out once for Date/Day, twice for Time. If it is a screw-in crown, remember to unscrew anti-clockwise first.
Q3. HOW DO I SET THE TIME?
A3. Softly and slowly pull the crown out. Use your finger knuckle as a lever to pull with as little force as possible until you feel a “click”! Turn anti-clockwise to move hands forward. When set, push back and screw clockwise tight.
II. FUNCTIONS & COMPLICATIONS
Q4. SETTING GMT & LOCAL TIME:
1. Unwind crown anti-clockwise. 2. Pull one-step out to set GMT (clockwise) and date (anti-clockwise). Pull one more step to set local time. 3. Set local time FIRST and then GMT SECOND. GMT will change simultaneously when setting local time.
Q5. QUARTZ VERSION BATTERY:
A new battery normally lasts for two years.
Q6. HOW DO I CHANGE THE DATE?
For screw-in crowns (Rolex style), unscrew first. Pull out softly (feel the “click”). Step one is for Date (and Day). Step two is for Time. Only set Date forward in one direction.
Q7. SCREW-IN CROWN VS OTHERS:
Screw-in crowns lock into the case. Unlock by turning anti-clockwise until the crown comes out about 1.0 to 1.5 mm. To lock, slowly turn and push toward the watch until tight. No extra force needed!
Q8. WHAT IS A RECESSED PUSHER?
Buttons inside the watch body for appearance. Use a ball-point pen to push all-the-way and release fully. Do not push half way, it might cause gears to jam or damage the movement.
III. CHRONOGRAPH & TACHYMETER
Q9. ROLEX DAYTONA STOPWATCH:
Un-wind the protective-screw lock before pushing. Be sure to push all the way and fully release. Pushing halfway may cause mechanical problems.
Q10. WHAT IS A TACHYMETER?
A scale on the bezel used with the second hand to measure speed (miles per hour) of a moving object over a set distance.
Q11. VALJOUX 7750 STOPWATCH CARE:
• START & STOP is TOP Pusher Button.
• ONLY after you STOP, then depress the lower button to RESET.
• DO NOT depress the lower reset button when the stopwatch is running!
🚫 CRITICAL: DO NOT adjust the date between 10pm-3am EVER!!! If you adjust between 10pm-3am, the date will jam or go half way. Adjust time to 6:00 first.
Initial Power-Up:
When you receive your piece, handwind for about 50 rounds to generate power reserve. Then you shake the piece like a “mad cow” for 3-4 minutes to generate more power reserve.
The Timer Hand Reset:
As for the timer hand to reset back to zero, it is pure luck. You may have perfect reset, or less than perfect reset. My Genuine Rolex Daytona did not reset back to zero after 3 months.
By the way, make sure everytime you activate chrono, you have enough power reserve. Every time you start the time-space, ensure you have enough power. Have fun!!!
“Remember a replica is always a replica but do enjoy them as at a fraction of the cost, these cosmetically perfect replicas are a joy to wear, aren’t they?”
